  1. Because no one wants to see a good story. People want to see a pit bull ripping the face off of a baby, or a german shepherd spiraling out of control and killing three children.

Unless people are scared to death and on the tv seeing how they can prevent this from happening (thats how BSL got started), its not interesting.

  2. A sweet story.  I hope it gets less attention however, as the mother dog is stressed and not eating.  She may not feed her own babies if she does not eat.

I don't agree with the term "glee", more horror.  The same horror we have when people commit acts of abuse on animals and each other.  I think it makes us feel superior because we are above such behavior.

  3. Because that shows something good a dog did.  Nobody cares about the good just the bad.  I thought it was a great story

  4. The media gets better ratings when the people have something to fear. For years, such dogs as German Shepard, American Pit Bull Terrier, Chows and other breeds are given bad names, when in general, these are the best kind of dogs you can find.

Once again, the media gets better ratings when people fear something, and the media (the Newspaper, News channel, websites, etc.) reports on it. Many dogs have become that source of ratings and income the media is looking for.
