  1. Take your dogs temp. A normal temp for a dog can be as high as 102.5 and higher if they are really hyper and active. Just stick the thermometer in the a**s and see what it is. Just make sure your dog satys well hydrated until you can get it to the vet.

  2. No it's false.  The "warm nose myth" has many pet owners feeling that their pet has a fever (or otherwise sick) if the nose is warm and dry. A dog's (or cat's) nose may be very wet and cool one moment then be warmer and not-so-moist the next. All in the course of a day. All perfectly normal.

  3. well generally the statement is fiction

    however,

a happy, healthy dog licks his/her nose alot. thats why its always wet so if your dog has a dry nose that measn she/he isnt happy or becoming ill.

    for the most part

  4. Has she been sleeping? Dog's noses dry out when they are sleeping. It's so they don't get overwhelmed by scents when they're sleeping (like we sleep with our eyes closed. The moisture on a dog's nose helps with their sense of smell).

If your dog is acting lethargic, or different than normal, definitely think about taking her to the vet. Otherwise, I'd suggest you just watch her if you're concerned, and see.

  5. My dog's nose is hardly ever wet or cold. Our vet says that he is just fine. Dogs sweat through their nose but like humans they do not sweat 24/7.

  6. Sorry, I do not know if your vet is closed now or not.

  7. you don't go by the nose. your dog's nose could be dry and warm when it sleeps. if the nose is dripping with mucus and the dog shows signs of distress like difficulty breathing then go to another vet.

  8. i think she might be sick i would take her to the vet first thing in the morning
