  1. dogs because they are more loyal :) x

  2. Dogs - I have two and they are great companions, they protect me and my house, have me laughing every day and they love me unconditionally.

Cats are too independent for my liking.

  3. Dogs because they are more friendly, can be taught to do what you want, go potty outside so you dont have to mess about with litter trays.

  4. It depends on the person.  I would say dogs for an active person.  You can take your dog with you hiking, biking, etc.  However, if you just want a cuddle mutt you can also get a dog for that.  If you want something to protect you a dog is a good option.  You can also train a dog so they can compete or just do tricks.  However, a cat is great for a person who wants a part time cuddlier.  Cats are't very trainable.  They kinda just go about their lives.  Cats can cuddle with you and help calm you down.  I love dogs to death, but right now a cat is ideal for me-  I'm not very active, don't have much time to train a dog or give it exercise.  I would rather just cuddle with a cat at the end of the day.

  5. Cats.

Dogs are too demanding. They want walks and play all the time. Cats are just happy to have you. Also i think cats have such a array of personality's whereas dogs do not seem to vary very much.

  6. Cats cuz i hate dogs

  7. Has to be a dog. I can't see a cat chasing off a burglar, can you?

  8. Dog, because they actually love you unlike cats who ignore you most of the time. They don't go around killing things like mice and birds just so they can play around with it for a bit then leave it lying around the house. They like to be stroked and you can play with them, take them on days out with you. They keep you entertained. They are loyal and they have character and personality. They are way better looking than cats.

  9. Dogs-you can take them more places with you and they are better guard animals. I love cats too though!

  10. It depends on your lifestyle and what you need from an animal companion.  Dogs are social animals so they need constant interaction.  Cats are not social animals (except for lions) so they do not "need" you.  Which actually makes them much easier to care for.  But if you want an animal companion that will worship the ground you walk on, and will let you "control" or "modify" their behavior, then a dog is the best bet.  Cats will only frustrate you.  I love and have both.  But I also understand their specific species behavior, etc., therefore I can accept and enjoy them for what they are.

** I don't know who is giving the thumbs down to those articles that convey the same message as mine, but they obviously don't get it.  To this person I would say "don't get either", get a pet rock.

  11. I like them both equally for different reasons. I like cats, because I live in the countryside by a river, and the cats are great for killing rats and mice and really earn their keep, and though they are very independent, they still make a fuss of you and give you love, and they are cheap to feed as well. I like dogs because of the loyalty and respect and love they give and the fact that they guard you and your house from intrusion. They are great to play ball or frisby with, the kids love them and they offer true companionship that you don't even get from most humans.

  12. dogs all the way. most cats just go off and do their own thing and not many like to play.

  13. slugs...

  14. Dogs

    Because:

    Loyal

    Fun

    Energetic

    Full of Love

Look better, well the big ones do, nothing smaller than a spaniel or a beagle

    Smart

    Crazy

You get a laugh out of their actions

It gets the cats to p*ss off

  15. I like both but I like cats more. Why? Because cats are very affectionate, can adapt to almost any environment, are quiet, and cost less. In my opnion other people's answers depend on their relationships with cats and dogs.

  16. Dogs

  17. Dogs! They are so loyal...Cats wander off, they're not happy with just lounging around by your side simply because they're with you. My dog gets so content she farts.

  18. Dogs are always good for protection and i think they're a bit friendlier. But cats are also good companions. and in the end, they both leave hair everywhere so........both i guess. it all depends on the kind of person you are i guess. :]

  19. Definately cats, they don't sniff your crotch and try to mate with your leg.

  20. Dogs are a man's best friend

Cats are a womans best friend

    5. they have an easy tell all expression when they want something ie. head tilt.

    6. they know what no means

  22. Cats.  They're more independent.  Food, water, litter.  These are their only concerns.

They don't need to be let outside at 2 AM so they don't pee on the couch.

Cats love/hate you because they love/hate you.  Dogs are stupidly loyal.  No matter what you do to them, they keep coming back for more.  Cats will just avoid you if they don't like you.
