Doing a report on Italy, have some questions.?

Question

I am doing a report on Italy. And one of the things I am writing about is italian foods. I am splitting it into two sections, northern Italy cuisine, and southern Italy cuisine. I am having trouble finding websites that tell me some of the differences between the two, and some typical dishes each one makes.

Does anyone know of any websites that can give me the info I need? I've looked in books, and online, but cant find what I am looking for.

I didn't know weather I should put this here or in the cooking and food area. Sorry if this was the wrong place to put it.

just ask....there are lots of italians here, me included and I'm sure we can help you....I have many sites but they're all in italian....can you speak italilan? let me know via mail and I'll send them to you ok? but don't trust the american printed cookbooks as they change the ingredients to suit the american palate........

Based on my travel around Italy a few years back I noticed the following below. Pardon me if I am wrong as I spent less than 2 weeks in all.

Pizza is different in different parts of Italy.

Rome and Florence & northwards tend to be thick crusted, and with Cheese and more on meat.

Naples pizza tends to be thin crusted, without the heavy topping of Cheese, and more on seafood. Much lighter.

Florence tend to have more pasteries/pies.

Venice tend to be a more balance mix of seafood and meat orientated
