Doing driving test?

my g/daughter wants to do her test in own car; instead of instructers car she has been told she has to fit an inside mirror for examiner on passenger side true or false

I have never heard of this with someone else's car.

False.  They cannot require you to add anything to the car that did not come from the factory.  As long as the car meets state and local standards for equipment, it should be OK to use for testing.
