Doing something in melbourne with limitied money?

wanting to do somwthing tonight with friends with limited money...wanting to drink but will have 2 buy them from a bottle-o as i cant afford 2 buy them out...please help.... i was thinking maybe an event in a park or something but cant find anything....thanks

you'd better buy peanut, soft drink like pepsi or any thing, then try to find a good place such as park or beach.

then spend your time there, talking each other, enjoying the environtment, etc

You can't beat the good ol' Aussie BBQ with friends.  So why not round them up and head up in the Dandenong Ranges or down by the Bay.  Get your friends to chip in with some salads or nibbles, and BYO grog.  There are quite a few barbecue places that are under cover (or in pavilions), so it won't matter whether it's raining or blowing a gale.  Enjoy.

find a free band listing and just have a couple of pots, its not festival season and its wet and cold out there anyway- better than drinking at home
