  1. every day do this.

    1) run up / down your street a few times then back

    2) go home when out of breath and do normal streaches then focas on front/back splits

    3) put your leg up onto somthing and streach itput your knee to nose do with other leg as well

4)sit in splits for 1 min then change leg for 1 min sit in other leg then change  again and so on. if you want to go down further take your hands of the ground and clap above your head it works really good.

    4) side splits,i cant do these, basically sit so your legs are apart and feet on a wall then try and sit as close to a wall as possible which will make ypur legs go out!! the do the froggy streachsit down a gain with you feetinfront of you legs bent and terned out  feet together and then push them as far down as possible. sit in your side splits for 5 mins.

    5) do this as much as possible twice a day if possible just once you have finshed streaching do step 1 again then go home and take a shower

are you serious 4 inches that is about

    m

that far!!!i am 6 and i have been doing it for 3-4 months!! but havent been streching veryday just on and off and ten inches is very good i am 15!! try actually measuring it will help!

  2. STRETCH EVERY DAY FOR 30 MINUTES!!

  3. haha, the funny thing about the splits is that everybody thinks that it will take soooo long to get them but it really doesnt .. im dead serious about this, i was MAJORLY unflexible and i had been dancing since i was 2 but one day i started working at it and bam! haha,

ok well the thing is that you need to dedicate an entire day to it! like a day that you are just around the house and whenever you think about it just slide as far as you can and hold it.. it is good if you can go on a sildey floor with socks, dont slide too far cuz you can hurt yourself ..

another tip.. take stacks of couch coushins and stack up on pile by your front foot and another by your back foot.. leave an open area by your crotch. climb up on the couchins and then just let your body be suspended between the two for a bout a minute at a time.. it will really help

    good luck :D

  4. Oh, my...  That would depend on how far you can go right now.

I am a martial artist and I used to coach gymnastics and doing the splits does take time.  It's the gradual "stretching" and "pulling" that allows for the extention.  The younger you are the easier it will be to start stretching for the splits.  If you can go down far enough for your legs to touch the floor, but your crotch isn't, then gently raising the height of your front leg will help (don't do this if you still need the support of your hands).  If you can go down pretty far but your knees can't quite get there, rolling you shoulders back while in the splits will help.  If you still need the support of your hands and your trail leg is really bent...  well, don't hurt yourself...  constant and daily streching in the splits will help, like when you're watching TV.  Be careful, though... if you still can't manage to straighten your front leg, constant streching may make your hips and knees too loose and may open you up for ACL damage, MCL or meniscus damage to your knees.

Sorry to say, but it is likely that "time" will be your best result, but "rolling your shoulders WAY back" is great.
