Dollar is worth what against the Euro?

Question

say the american dollar is worth $1.5618 against the euro. is that a bad thing compared to $1.4745? idk, if the dollar is worth more against the euro is that is good thing and if the dollar is worth less than the euro is that a bad thing...... or vice versa? explain please!

What they are saying is if you buy an apple in the US for $1.00 it will cost you $1.56 in Europe. Basically, if you have $10.00 and you go to Europe and exchange it for Euros you will get approx. 6.25 in Euros. As that drops ( $1.56 to $1.47 ) this is better for the US currency. Ultimately US would like it to be 1.00 to 1.00 . Not likely the US is going to see that for a while.
