Titans trail by 392 runs with three wickets remaining in their first innings, at stumps, on the second day of the four-day match in the ongoing Sunfoil Series against Dolphins being played at Kingsmead, Durban.
After ending the first day with 323 for three, Dolphins’ VB van Jaarsveld and K Zondo resumed their innings on Friday, aiming to increase their lead.

K Zondo, was then accompanied by C Chetty as the two batsmen continued the batting onslaught, remorselessly punishing the bowlers all around the park.
The fielders were also taken aback by this partnership as they were tested by the batsmen, who sneaked a single and a clever two whenever there was an opportunity, keeping the fielders on their toes.
After stabbing 423 runs, the partnership came to an end on the dismissal of Zondo, who hit the showers after smacking 69 runs.
There was no end to Dolphins’ batting onslaught, as Chetty and D Smit forged a brave partnership, keeping the team’s innings moving forward.
Finally, with 548 runs on the board, the skipper was trapped in front of stumps by Behardien after he had clobbered a knock of 58 runs.
With enough runs on the board, Dolphins declared their innings with C Chetty unbeaten after posting 101 runs.
Titans began their first innings with a massive score ahead of them, making it imperative for them to bat wisely in order to overcome Dolphins’ lead.
However, they lost their first wicket with only four runs on the board, as opener PJ Malan was given lbw before scoring a run.
This was followed by the demise of the next wicket with 35 runs on the board. The third-wicket partnership between TM Bodibe and F Behardien hammered the side to 59, before the demise of the latter, who lost his wicket after clobbering eight runs.
By stumps, they lost seven wickets and posted 156 on the board with M Mosehle on 39 and CJD de Villiers on nil.
