On Saturday, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Dolphins-c781 ended the week on a winning note as they beat Titans by an innings and 247 runs on the third day of the four-day match at Kingsmead, Durban.
Having bolstered a mammoth score of 548, the Dolphins were in a commanding position. Their bowlers did not hesitate to incinerate Titans’ batsmen, as by the end of the second day, they had managed to nab seven wickets with the Titans struggling on 156 runs.
Pinned down, the Titans needed to regroup and make amends on Saturday in order to avert an imminent defeat.
With M Mosehle and CJD de Villiers, they resumed their innings today, but on the second delivery of the opening over, the former was snapped up by Alexander for 39.
This was then followed by the demise of NE Mbhalati, who crumbled with only four runs to his name, leaving his side crippled with 161 runs on the board. Six runs later, the team perished on the dismissal of RR Richards, who scored only two runs, as they
failed to avoid a follow.

This was a critical situation for the Titans as they were heading for a train wreck. They needed to hold on and bat the day off in order to take the match down to the wire on the final day.
However, this was a distant probability as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals, sinking further in the pits of h**l.
With 60 for six, the game was nearly over for the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Graham-Robert-Cowdrey-c60631 der Merwe gave their side one last hope by moulding a potent partnership which took the score to 121 before the duo was split on the dismissal of Wiese (24).
While van der Merwe belted a commendable knock of 54, his side perished with 134 on the board, losing the match by a huge margin.
The Titans were incinerated in their second innings by Dolphins’ KJ http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Abbott-c41507, who took five wickets.
