I am wanting to make my own website. I know that to make a good website it takes money, who can give me the best website to make a website that is the most affordable and it has a good package to come with it.

Would you try first a free Wordpress web blog, you know that now is a Web 2.0 generation. I have a web blog on wordpress and you may and example of it in http://xhspz.wordpress.com/

Then, next if you have more things to upload, then just upgraded it in a simple way.

Yahoo geocities... They range from free all the way to web hosting. You should use the free one (as they all pretty much use the same basics). If you like it then get the pro version. It will allow you to do pretty much everything with a simple drag & drop menu. With the pro you can download & use the free yahoo site builder which is so easy a 3rd grader can do it. There is no understandering of code needed (unless you want to get very complex).

Well, you can't get a '.com' domain name for free but they only cost a few dollars...

You can do the website part for free.  I created my website for free and then registered a domain name and pointed it to my free site.

Here is how I did it.

I made my church's website at TinyPurpleGrapes.com and then registered the URL and pointed it at the site. You can get to my site at either of the following URLs

http://BroomfieldCommunityChurch.org

or

http://BroomfieldCommunityChurch.TinyPur...

Here are the steps to set this up:

Step 1 - Create your site on TinyPurpleGrapes.com

Step 2 – Go to the settings page for your new site and write down the IP address they give you.

Step 3 - Register a domain name with a domain name provider like GoDaddy.com.

Step 4 – On GoDaddy, point your domain name at the IP addresss you wrote down in step 2.

Step 5 - Log into your site on TinyPurpleGrapes.com and go to the settings page. Then enter the domain name in the appropriate field.

NOTE: TinyPurpleGrapes.com is a free service and it is possible that the IP address could change from time to time in which case you would need to update it for your domain name.
