The Italian national has ruled out a Russian Premier League exit and summed up Genoa's Serie A performances.
It has only been six months since Domenico Criscito joined Zenit St. Petersburg from Genoa CFC. However, the Italian defender has revealed his love for the Russian outfit and admitted to huge support from the Zenitchiki fans.
It is believed that the promising stopper had several other options before making his mouthwatering move to the St. Petersburg, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 FC reportedly being a long-term admirer.
However, the Italian national chose the Meshki above the other available options. Criscito believes he made the right decision to play at the Petrovsky stadium and has created an emotional attachment with the fans since his arrival.
Criscito revealed that he consulted with his compatriot and Rubin Kazan centre back, Salvatore Bocchetti, before his transfer and admitted that he loves to take on new challenges.

“The loyalty, warmth reception from the fans and crowded stands has convinced me to extend my stay at St. Petersburg. Now I cannot imagine leaving this wonderful city.” The former Juventus player was quoted as saying.
The 25-year-old revealed that he had a wonderful time with Genoa, but at the same time added that he’s loving life in Russia and playing for a team involved in an arguably the biggest tournament on earth, the UEFA Champions League.
“I am an ambitious person and always set myself new goals. Now I'm playing in a team that is constantly fighting for the titles and playing in the Champions League.” Criscito said
Speaking on his former club, Criscito revealed that Serie A was more tactical as compared the Russian top division. He admitted that the Russian outfits are becoming more popular in Europe.
Criscito went on to share his views on the Turin derby between Genoa and Sampdoria. He revealed that the derby has always been important for him and the fans.
“This is a very important match for Genoa. Football players also look forward to this game.” The Italian defender said.
