Domestic Lily to conquer the Grade OR Liam Murphy Memorial Open 525 Semi-final
Domestic Lily’s performance is anxiously awaited in the Grade OR Liam Murphy Memorial Open 525 Semi-final, which is scheduled to take place at Shelbourne Park on 26th April, 2012.
The daughter of Honcho Classic, out of Sion Sleek, will enter the race from trap 5, with a 5 to 2 chance of winning the €100 prize money, over the distance of 525 yards.
The Fagan trained b***h will be racing at familiar ground today, as she has previously competed here. She also raced at Dundalk and Harold’s Cross among other venues, but most of her starts took place at Shelbourne Park.
The b***h whelped on 1st October, 2008, and began her career with a solid finish as a runner-up when she was defeated by, Rachaels Teddy, by 6 ½ lengths in the Grade A5 Fundraising Night A5 525 at Harold’s Cross on 24th May,
2010.
Since then, she has progressed and added a number of victories to her record.
This season Domestic Lily has landed two victories, and is certainly looking to secure the third one with this race.
The black b***h succeeded over, Ballymac Barrell, by 1 ½ lengths in the Grade A1 'Merlins Little Treasures' A1 525 at Shelbourne Park on 28th January, 2012.
She bagged a victory over, Longrange Ivor, on the same track on 11th February, 2012.
She defeated the P. Cronin hound by 1 length in 28.82 seconds in the Grade A1 Swords Prince @ Stud A1 525 Round 1 Heat 2 at the same track.
Bay Road will enter the race from trap 1, and is looking to land a massive victory over Domestic Lily. The son of Ballymac Maeve, out of Blackie, will be competing in the first race of the season.
Trainer Mason ran him in a solo on 13th April, 2012, where he covered the distance of 324 yards in an impressive time of 17.63 seconds.
The black hound performed well in 2011, as he started the season with a victory.
The hound was whelped on 1st October, 2008, and he defeated, Dundrum Eagle, by 1 ½ length in 28.76 seconds in the Grade A2 525y Flat race at Shelbourne Park on 24th February, 2011.
These hounds will be battling on the track today for total domination but it is speculated that Domestic Lily will emerge victorious and Bay Road might be able to secure a finish as a runner-up.
