I'll be travelling from Australia to the US in November and I'm wondering what a decent domestic airline would be in the US? Going California, Portland (OR) Texas and upstate NY. Thanks! :)

  1. Define decent!  Your choice of airline will be determined by the destination - most airports are not served by all airlines, especially in upstate NY.  The most important thing is to get a non-stop flight, if you can.  Also, depending on how busy the route is, you might be on a commuter flight (small aircraft, often prop. driven) which are all similar.

Good luck.  Flying domestically in the US is not much fun these days.

  2. For the California, POrtland area - Alaska Air or United

    For Texas - American Airlines

    For NY - Delta Airlines.

If you wanted one airline for all your trips I would say go with American Airlines or United airlines.

  3. I've had pretty good luck with Continental.  However, they, like everyone, are starting to nickel-and-dime people.
