Domestic cricket franchises of Zimbabwe gearing up for the coming season
Mashonaland Eagles has started its hunt for a new coach after the confirmation that the previous coach Chris Silverwood would not come back to the franchise in the next season. The Chief executive of Eagle’s confirmed on Thursday that Silverwood is not returning back to take over his duties as head coach of the league.
On the other hand, the post of assistant coach has already been filled by the all-rounder Grant Flower. He would take up the charge on his return to Zimbabwe at the end of the ongoing county season in England.
Talking to the media reporters in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045, the Chief Executive Eagles, Hugo Ribatika revealed that the former coach Chris Silverwood has no plans to return for the next season and the management is looking for a suitable candidate for the post. Ribatika said that the name of the new coach would be announced soon.
"Silverwood is not coming back and we are still discussing about the prospective candidates for the job. Hopefully we will be announcing the name of the new coach soon," said the Chief Executive, Mashonaland Eagles.
