I have a blue fronted amazon and am going camping at an indiana state park (spring mill) and would like to know if i could bring my bird there. Its healthy, but i think they still may have a rule about it.

  1. leave it home . you don't want it to pick up something from a wild bird

  2. Easy to find out this info. Just call the number of Spring Mill Park and ask. I don't know how much fun it would be for your bird, however, since it should remain caged the entire time so it doesn't escape and maybe freeze to death over the winter months. : /

  3. I'm not sure it sounds like a good idea if it is even allowed. Normally it isn't because your bird can get out into the wild and so forth. Accidents happen. Also, your bird could attract unwanted wildlife and may really just hold you back from doing the things you may want to do from hauling it around with you. If it's on a harness, it has a ton of predators to watch out for and will cause you more stress than it's worth, I think. But that's just me. You could always call the park and ask. I know even the local parks here in Florida won't allow any animals (and I free fly my birds and they aren't even allowed);
