Malaysian junior, Ahmed Deedat Abdul Razak received a straight set defeat, 1-6, 4-6 at the hands of the British contender, Dominic Inglot, in the initial qualifying round of the Malaysian Open 2012 held at the hard Courts of Kuala
Lumpur. He summed up his match in a total of 51 minutes in total on the eve of Saturday.
The 26-year-old Brit held his initial serve and inaugurated a brilliant start of the opener; he broke his rival’s initial serve and progressed without facing even a single hindrance. Razak proved insignificant in front of his rival
and instead gifted him the initial three games to mark his 3-love lead. Inglot did not give his competitor even a single chance to take over and moving towards the last part, he broke his serve in the sixth game, concluding the set with a breadstick.
The British participant smashed four aces with 83 percent first serve accuracy, with 16 of 20 first and two of four second serve points. In comparison to that, the Malaysian underdog majorly lost because he double faulted three
times at the critical instances in the match, displaying below than average initial serve precision of 44 percent. He converted just two of seven first and five of nine second delivery points. He received four serve breaks but he could even capitalize one,
his British senior snatched two of three points presented.
In the second set 17-year-old, Razak did not make use of the opportunity and commenced a sloppy launch. The right-hander British professional successfully bagged away the initial two games in a row, stamping his 2-love lead. However
this time around, Razak planned to pickup pace and gradually started to shift the momentum. Until the end, both players held their serves throughout and fought back hard to dominate the other. Inglot was alarmed seeing the Malaysian junior’s fast pace and
nudged forward to accumulate the last two game, concluding the set with his 6-4 win.
Inglot showed an extraordinary performance by striking seven aces and did not even double fault once. He also had a good initial serve precision of 72 percent with 18 of 21 points. The local contestant had 59 percent first serve
presentation, pocketing away nine of 16 points.
