Surprises kept striking at the Roland Garros, as the 14th seed Austrian, Dominic Thiem, outclassed the third seed Filip Horansky of Slovakia, in the third round of the tournament on Wednesday afternoon. The Austrian
took just 76 minutes to wrap up his straight sets victory at 6-4, 6-1, to book a berth in the final eight of the Grand Slam event.

to break his opponent’s serve in the game and converted five of them en to victory.
Both contestants exchanged some assertive winners at the beginning of the first set to get their impact on the game. Horansky was the first one to register a serve break in the opener, only to be broken in the very next game to
fall back on even terms with his Austrian opponent. Thiem fully capitalised on three double faults of the Slovak t sting his second serve break of the matchup to seal the opening set at 6-4 and got one up in the competition.
