My wife & I need to bring forward our holiday in Punta Cana from February 09 to November 08, I have noticed that is the tail end of the hurricane/rainy season.

Has anyone travelled to the Dom Rep in November before and what type of weather can I expect ?

This is a once in a lifetime holiday for us and I really want some nice hot sunny weather any help would be really great !!!

  2. Punta Cana in November? No problem like they say over here. Maybe some short showers (rain) for 10 to 15 min, and then sun again, so nothing to spoil this "once in a lifetime vacations" on't forget to discover this beautifull country.

    El Pinguino

  3. I went last november (the 28th for 2 weeks) and i'm going to be honest with you.. the weather was RUBBISH! However, The dominican republic is a fantastic place so I was lucky enough to return in february when the weather was GREAT!

not one fault in february but in November it was always raining..tropical storms, rain, sun, rain, more rain!

At the time I didn't think it was so bad 'cos of the place but since visiting in february I realised the weather kind of ruined the first visit to Dominican Republic.

    Sorry.. just being honest.

Please don't let it spoil you're view of Dominican Republic its a truely beautiful place and definitely a once in a life place so i'm just trying to help you enjoy it as much as possible like everyone should! especially if you're saving all year round to go.. you want the best for you're money right!

Good luck and have a great time.. I'm jelous even if you go in November, its a great place with great people!! I miss it so much and dream of living there!!

but ummm its the best expectually the FOOD mmmmmm...........

  5. The best time to visit Punta Cana is during the "cool" season from November to April. During these months, the weather is pleasantly warm with relatively low levels of humidity and low precipitation. Temperatures along the coast are constant around 29°C (84°F) during the day and drop to a comfortable 20°C (68°F) at night.

The rainfall that month is 4.4 inches, which is not bad at all.
