Dominican Republic native application to immigrant visa to the US?

I was wondering how long would it take the whole process (between the solicitude to the approval, if it is the case) to obtain an immigrant visa of the USA for a Dominican Republic native, if the petitioner is an aunt/uncle citizen of the USA. (notice, the petitioner is not mother or father or sister or brother).

  1. It will take forever.  This is because an aunt/uncle cannot petition you.  It must be your mother, father or sibling.

It makes no difference how your aunt and uncle are related to you.  There are NO circumstances under which they can petition you.

  2. My wife is Dominican - she's the best.
