Dominik Britsch ready to fight Ryan Davis for IBF Intercontinental Middleweight title – Boxing news
The German national Dominik Britsch is ready to take on the 32-year-old Ryan Davis for his first big international title fight on July 16, 2011.
The two fighters will be face-to-face with each other for the vacant IBF Intercontinental Middleweight title at the Olympia-Eissportzentrum in Munich, Germany.
The 23-year-old, Orthodox stance, Britsch is very excited to get this bout. He said, “I am thrilled to finally fight for my first big international title. That is exactly what I have been working and waiting for. I will take one step at a time and not look
past Davis, who is a tough guy. But he will not stop me on my way to the top.”
According to the Britsch’s coach Wegner, he has a bright future ahead.
Wegner said, “Dominik has the potential, the talent and the determination to be the next big thing in Germany. He works hard in practice and listens to my advice. We have carefully moved him to the top. Now is the time for big fights. He is a diamond and
I am sure he will put on a great performance against Davis.”
The Middleweight contender, Britsch has been an outstanding performer since he joined boxing as a profession. He has never been defeated by anyone in his professional career. He turned professional winning a unanimous points decision against Erik Nazaryan
in 2006 at the RWE Rhein-Ruhr Sporthalle in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.
Britsch is now coming to the ring after winning all of his 23 bouts against the world’s best boxers in the Middleweight division. In his last fight, Britsch won a knockout decision against Delray Raines of the US on May 14, 2011 at the Home Depot Centre
in California, United States.
Ryan Davis is returning to the ring after winning a technical knockout decision against Brad Hill on April 15, 2011 at the Ameristar Casino in Saint Louis, United States.
