  1. Wake me up when the hockey season starts.

  2. I rather watch paint dry then watch golf!

  3. compared to hockey.......its a bore

  4. I'm a big baseball fan....I'd have to admit right after hockey though. I can relate to what you mean when you say that it isn't always exciting (which can be nice sometimes actually) but when someone gets a hit or a homerun or there is a double or triple play your blood pumps faster. lol

I'm a fan of the Baltimore Orioles because I was and still am born and breed in Baltimore but second to them I'm a Detroit Tigers fan...

  5. Sorry man. I can't get into baseball unless I'm actually there at the game. Hockey has more excitement (In my opinion). In baseball it's kinda slow, and doesn't have as much excitement as hockey. Hockey has hits, pure luck chances, great goals, scoring chances, and fighting. It doesn't seem like baseball "Builds and builds" with excitement. It seems like it's the same throughout the game. If I am there at the game I get a little more into it, but not by much. Sorry... I like hockey better.

  6. As a Mets' fan since the 1960's, as well as having a rather short minor-league catching career, I can relate. I appreciate the subtle changes as the game goes on in baseball, as well as the fast, split second decision-making involved in hockey.

There is also nothing like being at bat in the 9th inning of an important playoff game with everything on the line, all eyes on you. The adrenaline rush is unreal.

And for hockey fans who don't like baseball, that brawl last night during a minor-league game rivaled most hockey fights. Plus baseball umps are just as bad as hockey refs lately.

  7. Baseball is VERY boring

  8. Are you in the hockey section talking about baseball?  OK, I enjoy baseball, it does kill lots of time and I like statistics too much for my own good, so I follow baseball.  However, don't whine and moan and complain to HOCKEY fans about watching BASEBALL.  Stay in the baseball section,  please.  I won't go to the BASEBALL section to talk about the RED WINGS, and I won't go to the HOCKEY section to talk about the TIGERS.  I understand what you want to convey, but shut up and keep it in the baseball section.

  9. Sorry, but I find baseball to be boring. I recently went to a game(minor league, not the majors) and left after the third inning because my family and I were bored. I have a short attention span, so I need something more fast pace.

  10. Baseball is like watching paint dry.

  11. I've started to watch a lot more recently. It is pretty entertaining.

Oh, and I'm in upstate NY right now. I could follow Toronto, but when I have the yankees and mets, Why would I?

  12. If anyone was around to see the Phillies and Astros duke it out in the 1980 NLCS missed THE classic example of how exciting baseball can be.

  13. Baseball is boring.

  14. I can't believe that you of all people put a baseball question in the hockey section Chris but it'd be nice to remind Bob of Joe Carter vs. Mitch "Wild Thing" Williams.

I MISS MY EXPOS TABARNAK !!

  15. I love baseball, it is a close second to hockey for me. I love when an underdog catches up big in the last few inning, I have now memorized like every player,(same with hockey). You r last comment is exactly me, my second favorite team is  the Mets under the Jays and Jose Reyes is my favorite player. And Delgado is my favorite Veteran player. I also like Rios, Inglett, and Echstein, What happened to the best record of May for the Jays

  16. I like baseball whenever the Giants are doing good. But I like going to games in SF or Oakland. I don't like the path that baseball is going down ie: steroids, egos, pitchers taking forever to pitch, broadcasters bored out of their minds so they put the camera on fans and families.

But right now I think baseball is just OK. It's a great sport fo'sho'. But it does not have my eye right now.

Though I do like the Blue Jays because they are the ONLY Canadien Team in the MLB!!

  17. Baseball is boring

  18. I watch Baseball. Not as closely as Hockey. But my Marlins team is doing quite well. There have been some exciting games that I have watched . But it still does not compare to a hockey game. I am glad I play three times a week still

  19. I dont think its boring.I feel its slow.I used to love baseball. But then the strike and then the steroid garbage.I feel cheated and didnt really have a ton of interest after all the mess.I do respect the pro players and what they do.Especially the clean ones. But it is still slow-motion compared to hockey.

  20. Yeah! I saw that game on Sportsnet. What a game!!! I was so mad when they didn't score in the ninth. Then when they loaded up the bases in the tenth I got some hope. I thought Ichiro had it, but no! I was so happy. Baseball is a great sport to watch, it is a good replacement from watching those Maple Losers. I definitely relate. It's a great, relaxing sport to watch. GO JAYS!

  21. Tigers were 5.5 games behind the White Sox(who lead the Central) coming in to today.  The 3 game series against the White Sox started today,  hella of a chance to make up some ground and give us a shot at the playoffs. We were leading 5-4 coming into the bottom of the 9th. We put in Todd Jones, a reliever who blows the game.  Were now 6.5 games behind the Sox. Tough loss today.

I'm NOT ready for the puck to drop, where I'm from we have 4 months of this beautiful weather after that your living in h**l.  Hockey season means snow, Vinny isn't ready for snow.

  22. I guess I can relate. I'm not much of a watching baseball fan . But my friend whose a huge Jays fan  makes me sit there and pretty much watch all their games. She must be out today because I missed the game! Well watching games with her, I've realized that baseball can be pretty intense! I mean at times I was biting my nails wanting to know what's gonna happen next..... or just waiting for the batter to swing. (Don't tell my friend). So I see where your kinda coming from!

Baseball may not be as fun as hockey can be but I don't mind watching it. I guess I should say Go Jays Go!

  23. Yaaaaawwwwwwwnnnnnnn...

Do you have any paint I can watch dry, instead?

  24. It's a shame the Rays are doing this well and I really don't care too much. I was a big baseball guys years ago, back in the good 'ol days of the Devil Rays when after the second inning, everyone would flock to the exits. It was good for us, though. We could buy the cheapest seats in the house and waltz right up to the good seats, and no one ever cared.

Oh well. Never thought I'd see the day when people are discussing the Rays and the postseason in the same sentence.

Not to mention watching all my friends, one-by-one, becoming bandwagon Rays fans. I'm hoping when the Bolts do good, they'll all do the same!

Drop the puck, NOT the baseball, already!

CHRIS - He dropped it on a pop-up?

  25. Yeah, I was watching that too! I don't follow it as closely as hockey but I do like the Jays and that was a great finish.

  26. Sorry man, but a sport that has less then a fraction of the amount of action in hockey can't really supplement it for me.  There really aren't any supplements for hockey, baseball you have to wait hours and hours for one meaningful play.  For me it's mind numbingly monotonous, but i'm sure there are people who feel the same way about hockey as i do about baseball so I try to keep my opinions to myself.
