Question:

Don't Feel The Burn With Lunges?

How come when I do lunges I don't feel my legs really working? Sometimes I feel sore, but usually I don't. I do 3 sets of 8 repetitions. I looked in the mirror, and it looks like I'm doing the form correctly.

  1. I'm a fan of max-ot just like you but honestly i don't follow it when working my hamstrings. quads on max-ot definately but hamstrings unless i'm deadlifting i don't follow max-ot.

maybe you could try doing 12 instead of 8.

either way if you don't feel the burn now you probably won't with more repitition.

burn isn't good in terms of post burn and sorness later. but you don't feel anything in your muscle when your working it? then thats not good.

i hate lunges because they kill me. 1 set...2 set...3 set... pass out :)

i think you need to overload more.

either that or your form isn't good. when your looking in the mirror make sure your knee is behind your foot. thats probably what it is-the form.

    Goodluck.

  2. Lunges give me the biggest burn. I just feel like falling over. Are you using dumbbells in each hand?... Increase the weight if you aren't feeling a burn.

  3. do the lunges with more weight in each hand
