Question:

Don't You Just Love Sara Palin?

I wasn't interested in voting for McCain because he was just another old white dude running for office. Obamas message of change sounded like a good message.

Then the selection of Palin to the VP slot really shook things up. That was a good change to make, and McCain was the first one of the candidates to make change happen.

She's a great inspiration for all women to follow, going from small town to White House is something all girls should be see as a possibility for them.

And it's nice to see that a straight woman has a good chance of getting to the White House.

What do you think? Isn't Sara great?

  1. Mary, it's all politics. Maybe you should do a little research on Palin. Voting for Palin-McCain means another war, rise in your gas prices, more outsourcing, and who knows what else this will bring us.

  2. I am a woman, and I am embarassed and ashamed for my fellow women.

So no, in answer to your question: Sarah Palin is not great.

  3. Yes, I do.  She has executive experience, and she is not afraid of going up against big interests.

  4. i love her, she is a real human.....she has a family, a smile, and a brain....

  5. I think Sarah Palin is great as well.  I think she is humorous and has fight in her. A great addition to the Republican ticket.

  6. You write, "She's a great inspiration for all women to follow."

    See this:  http://hottiesinthenews.blogspot.com/200...

Then get back to me.  Oh, and the part about her abusing her authority as Governor to silence the man with the documentation of her extramarital affair? You know, the criminal activity that inspired the criminal complaint filed yesterday by the POLICE UNION... also not too inspirational.

  7. Her voice is annoying.  I can't imagine her having real conversations with dignitaries from around the world.

  8. Still don't know anything about her.  She read a speech written by one of Bush's speech writers and that's about it.

Can't figure out why she has not appeared on anything, where she could actually be interviewed.  Maybe because she can't answer the questions.

Straight woman?  Are you inferring that all the other women that now hold office or ran for office are g*y?

  9. No, I really don't think she is great. I was considering for a second to vote for McCain, but now I am definitely voting for Obama.

Alaska is the biggest pork barrel project state in the Union. How can McCain be anti-pork barrel and make Palin his running mate? It just doesn't make sense. Ms. Palin, for example, supported funding the "bridge to no where" (multi-million dollar bridge to an island with 50 residents), until the rest of the country made this project a laughing stock...only then did she decline the federal funding. While mayor, she tried to fire the town librarian because the woman refused to remove books from the library that weren't to Ms. Palin's liking. A small business that she ran while governor, was closed down by the the state's tax administration because the business (she was one of two owners) didn't file annual paperwork on time and didn't pay taxes (ironically, the letter that informed her of that decision bore her name on the letterhead - Governor Palin!).

She IS an inspiration for the fact that she has achieved a lot and is not even 45 years old yet, but does inspiration alone make a good candidate for president?

I realize that many people want to see someone that identify with in the roll of a candidate, but not everyone is meant to be president. Just because this woman might appeal to you on a personal level, doesn't mean she should be running the country (and there is a very good chance she might be).

PS - IMHO - I think only the smartest and most experienced people should run the country. What is this I hear about people not liking someone because they went to Harvard? Because they are elitist? Well, I say that's a great trait (the "Harvard" part)! I think we want the brightest citizens of our great nation at the helm. If possible, I want a Nobel laureate running the country!

  10. Yes I do.  She is a great American.

  11. nope

  12. To be honest she does make me want to vote...for the first time in 20 years. I think I am just a sucker for a woman that is intelligent and has a pretty face. If you listen to all of the candidates one on one you can get excited about them. The problem is, how do you know who's lying? I wish their was a fact sheet for all of them that a person could read and then make their choice. look there are 3 sides to every story the Republican version the Democratic version and the TRUTH. good luck figuring out who's lying because you will never get the whole truth.

    But she show is purrdy!

  13. Yeah, man, as great as Daisy Duke from the Dukes of Hazzard.

Btw, where did ya put those pot brownes?

  14. Nada.  She is a religious extremist if you look at her record.  Scary.  As a mother I don't want books banned from schools just because some religious nut doesn't like them and forgets about free speech, and I also don't want s*x education taken out of public schools.

Just to name a couple of reasons I don't like her.  The list is long.

  15. She's great if your a mushroom and like being feed BS.

    Her speech was full lies.

  16. If you were going for Obama but now are looking at Palin, I have to wonder how you make your political choice. Also, do shiny things that move distract you a lot?

Oooh a pretty sparkly! Gotta go!

  17. She's the reason I actually got excited about the election. Of course I had already planned on voting for McCain because theres no way in heIl i'd ever vote for Obama. But now that she's in it, the republicans are excited again and shes really stirred up the campaign and shes doing a great job of intimidating the liberals!

  18. I'm a middle class woman, and mother, and NO - Sarah Palin is not great. She does not represent me, what I stand for, or what I believe in. We couldn't be more opposite on social issues, and I'm sorry - her family values do not represent mine.

  19. Oh yeah, she's great if you would like to see abortion outlawed, creationism taught in public schools and all citizens carrying guns. Just what this country needs is another kook running the government.
