Well now there is all the proof you need right there that something weird is going on! No grass would grow in front of the monument. Yep sure means something paranormal going on for sure. Because I mean, there is nowhere else that happens...hmm

The story usually begins with, "Legend has it..."

They strangely do sound similar, now that you mentioned it....especially the part about the angel's arm being cut off.... Ugh! Creepy!

If you think thats strange, you should investigate local legends on college campuses. You will find about 5 or 6 legends that repeat over and over again.

For example, So many college students believe thier college made the top 10 in playboys annual to 50 party college list. To start with, there is no annual list, there was only one list put together in the early 80s. But everyone wants to think they are at the original animal house college.

But also, stories about buildings being haunted are very similar. When I was 21 I worked 3rd shift in a hospital, and then went later to college. There were two alledgedly haunted buildings both in the hospital and the college that had almost perfectly identical stories. Both supposedly haunted by the janitor that hung himself in the elevator shaft. Strange, huh?

Many paranormal reports have things in common. This is one reason that a good investigator should be familiar with Urban Legends and Folklore in general in order to recognize the signs before deciding to investigate.
