Don't always believe what people tell you on Answers....?

Question

I was told by someone that the biggest cause of car accidents was the nut behind the wheel!

so I removed it and the steering wheel fell off and I crashed!

Everything you read in Answers needs to be run through an "idiot filter".     Remember,  these are the same people you share the road with,   what makes you think they can think or answer any better than they drive?

If you get all your advice in your life from people on Yahoo Answers, you have some serious issues. It's a good place to find out general things (such as "can you suggest a good organic brand of dog food?" or "what kind of plants will attract butterflies"), but......

I see misleading information offered all the time. My biggest pet peeve is people who perpetuate the fallacy that a person has 3 (or 7, 10, 30, or whatever) days to return a car to the dealer after they've bought it.

I read incorrect things on here all the time wost is sometimes i give the correct answer and get lots of thumbs down just because the majority don't agree, well sorry but the majority are ignorant. Generally believe those which have those labels like that family GP or the top contributors maybe.

the thing i hate most is when people ask a question looking for a specific answer.  then a lot of people say the correct answer, but they pick the one person that said the answer they want to hear even though its blatantly wrong.

Common sense should tell you that all that you read on here is not concrete, just peoples opinions. Just read them. Don't go out and DO. If you really have a question about your car for instance, go to a professional. People here are just giving there advice, and not all of what you read is truthful! Sorry folks, just being honest.

I did the same!- I put the steering wheel down my trousers and it drove me nuts.

As a qualified mechanic and many years in the trade some of the questions on here scare me let alone the answers .

People do not realise that messing with things like brakes and steering can get you killed and others unless you know what you are doing .

And some of the answers ! i cringe at scares me to death at what may be on our roads .
