  1. Spicy food is good for the digestive system.Whenever I have a cold or flu coming I always have a chicken phall and that seems to cure it.Lightly crush some green cardomon pods in black coffee and that is a very good aphrodisiac. Some spices are also good for lowering blood pressure and blood glucose levels.

  2. I frequently use Dave's Insanity products, but I have a best tip for you if you like spicy stuff, especially habernero hot.  Try the Mo Hotta Mo Betta Red Savina sauce.  It is outstanding, quite hot but not so hot is ruins your dining experience, and excellent on steak.  I buy a lot of products, including Dave's, from them.

As for healthy, anything in moderation.  Too much or using, say, "da Bomb" food additive as a sauce can be funny watching the macho guys at a superbowl party hang their heads under a faucet, but it can cause severe gastrointenstinal distress, possibly real damage, and you get it both coming, in the middle, and going.

The active chemicals used in pepper spray and found in hot sauces are good to keep you regular and can be used for constipation, but be warned, too much and you'll have a you-know-what fit lasting a day or so.  Don't try to drown the heat if you do get burned, but lots of water won't hurt, either.  Rice or other starchy foods will best take away the mouth burn.  Coming out the other end, however, you're on your own.

Eating spicy foods releases endorphens.  It gives you a kind of natural high.  I use some powdered habanero to mix into most of my everyday dishes, like scrambled eggs, canned or home made chili, tuna casserole.  Again, just use it sparingly until you know your limits.

  3. eating spicy food is as healthy as any other food as long as it is in moderation. if you have been brought up on spicy food all your life your body will be used to this just take it easy and you will be fine

  4. Ive heard that spicy foods help raise your metabolic rate. I'm not sure if this theory has any scientific evidence. I love spicy food though, i drown everything in hotsauce. Also some times its an adventure to eat hot foods :)

    much love

  5. No one can answer your question generally you will have to look at each particular spice and draw your own conclusions.

For example, there is some evidence that black pepper may cause cancer.

There is evidence that spicy food may diminish or satisfy your appetite so you eat less--cutting down on obesity.

  6. Eating spicy foods speeds up digestion a bit...in some cultures that regularly eat spicy foods, they say they NEED hot food or they become constipated.

In any case, it's certainly not BAD for you. I love spicy stuff!

  7. When talking about types of food consumption, I'll can said that it a common sense answer. Why ! because any food take in large or frequent quantity will definitely bad for your health, thus consume it moderately. Next come age, do not over eat should your age is above 40+. That the words go "eat sensitively".

  8. Hi, well I would have to say spicy food is healthy, it is eaten all over the world, and I've never heard of a study that even suggested that it wasn't good for you.  Don't know about it helping you to stay in shape, but I'm in good shape, very healthy and I have been eating lots of really hot food for many years.  (I'm 55 and it hasn't ever bothered my digestive system)  Dave's is so hot that it's hard to say it tastes good.  I mostly use it for cooking and jazzing up wimpy salsa.

  9. many spices are good for you. obviously garlic has many other purposed other then keeping the vampires away, I can not off hand tell you what is good and what it does but if you search the spices you will see what each one can do for your health..

  10. I hope so, because I love it! And thats a fact.

  11. Spicy foods were popular to cover the tastes of meat that had gone slightly off because there was no refridgeration, spicy foods also make the intestinal tract less hospitable to parasites.  Look at the countries where spicy food is popular and you will see countries that would have a high incidence of spoilt food and worms.
