Blame Gallop and his cronies, NRL is the worst run comp in Aust, Russell Crowe was spot on when he said they are the poor relations of Aust. sport, a player like Williams is entitled to earn twice as much as he is, but as we all know the NRL generates diddly squat in revenue, maybe all you sydney couch potatoes should get of your acre and pay to go to a match rather than sipping a chardonnay on the couch, no wonder your clubs are on there knees, and while the ratings may be good the money paid by 9 and foxtel for the telecast rights are miniscule compared the AFL who not only get huge, huge crowds they also get big TV dollars, wake up to yourself NRL fans your game is going down the gurgler and when the AFL's 2 new teams are introduced it will be even tougher, I mean 26.000 at the Swans game v Adelaide last night, you wont get that for Manly v Roosters

  1. Yes it is. he is in France right now he boarded the plane yesterday while i was watching the raider flog the titans Raiders!!!!!!!!! lol.

Thats was pretty selfish of him to for that while his team needs him. He actually got interviewed a couple of months back and he said that the Canterbury Bulldogs will get better and train more and have a come back, then he takes off on them. That is pretty low.

Anyway he is going to play with one of the French Rugby Union teams for 3 million dollars. But if he shows up here in Australia he will be very hated by his fans and even team mates because he left everyone behind for more money.

He used to wash cars for $9.56 an hour and the Nrl brought him up to play for them and he takes off. Without even telling anyone.

Hope this helped you Gary L :]

  2. far out

why doesn't everybody just stop brining afl into things

yes we get it afl gets much bigger crowds then nrl games

    WE GET IT!

so seriously stop comparing nrl to afl!!!!!!!

if you didn't notice its the rugby league section you idiot

we don't care how big the crowds are in afl

    go watch some gAyFL

  3. so who is to blame?sbw, nasser, the nrl,the club or the fans who don't turn at the game.he knew that signing the 5 years contract make him a top priority at belmore.if he is not happy about the club publicly telling him.that he have a alcohol problem.but that was before he signed that 5 years contract.then he should not sign at all.his ego are becoming bigger and having a manager like nasser who manages loud mouth mundine.does not help him at all.loyalty!!!no hypocrite, that's him.i will support the club with or without sbw.

  4. Sonny Bill Williams is not bigger than the game, it just shows how little respect he has for the game and the club, if he wanted out of his contract he should have went to the club and asked for a release, but what do you expect from a person who is losing respect from fellow players in the comp, the dogs should take every legal action available to them to stop him form playing what a joke is SBW

  5. Look how can you not blame sbw?  It is a lack of respect for his TEAM mates and FANS.

Why is it all about the bloody money, years ago, it was real footballers, with real talents like in the 80's, they were you average builders, garbage men, etc, todays boys are know as the pretty boys of footy.

SBW has done the wrong thing, and not even man enough to face his club or to finish out his contract.  He has lost alot of respect from everyone, including our family who are doggie supporters.

Well I believe in Karma, he has done the wrong thing and did a runnner like a mongrel dog.

Why should it be about the money, it comes down to the mutual respect, and dedication and morals and values, and team spirit.

    Something, that he lacks.

    SBW = shame shame shame!!!

  6. Stop comparing NRL to that mickey mouse sport with no international following.

Their GC team barely gets 8000 to games.

I don't see how much different a West Sydney team will do either, as i live in western Sydney and there's practically no one interested in AFL tbh.
