Don't celebrities like Bill Maher realize that when the Democrats say they will tax the rich?

They're talking about people like him and Sheryl Crow, Susan Sarandon, and Michael McDonald. When I first started watching Bill on his old show "Politically Incorrect" on HBO and then ABC years ago I always thought he was pretty much an independent. Today I'm watching the replay of his show "Realtime with". All he talks about is how great Obama is. I don't have a problem with him having political views and opinions, but what happened to his impartiality on his TV shows? Also, what's up with having Craig Ferguson as a panel member? He doesn't have my respect any longer.

All I can say about what you wrote is "ditto."

Maher seems to have gone off the extremist edge a while back. It was nice to have someone intelligent and objective on TV, but now he has an "agenda." His anti-religionism is so strong, he has become a zealot just like those he dislikes.

As for politics, I could only imagine that he is very bitter about being fired from PI for his post-9/11 statements and is now h**l bent on getting republicans out of the WH. I think he doesn't realize that a weak candidate like Obama is every bit as dangerous as George Bush, maybe even more.

Still, it would have been better if he remained an objective voice of reason instead of becoming one of the "Pied Piper's" followers.

BTW, Craig; shame on you too! However, I understand Fergusen's 's position; he just broke into mainstream Hollywood, became a citizen, and wants to fit in and stay employed, but after Obama fades away, Hollywood blind followers will look pretty silly . (Gov. Palin of Alaska has  just vindicated the bitter religious and gun toting "folk." LOL!)

Finally, a factor which comes into play is an article I just read which stated that if you aren't an Obama supporter, you are "persona non grata" in Hollywood; no party invites or functions welcome you. It is simply another form of McCarthy-ism.

What it all boils down to is that Maher, sadly, is not as noble as we thought.

just like in the clinton days where performer, artist, musician! get not only tax breaks but tax credits as well!

so dont worry! they will still get more money!
