Do you see the Indians making a last minute push...lately they've been on fire as the White Sox are struggling and are only 10.5games out where in 2005 where 12 or 13 out and came to within one...do you see a comeback...?

  1. No, I don't see a comeback. The Tribe would have to push for the wild card, and there's already three other teams competing for that, two of them making a legitimate case.

It would be awfully hard to make playoffs, unless there's a major collapse.

  2. i hate to say this but its not looking good for you

  3. 10.5 W/26.  Sorry it's too big a mountain

  4. The tribe time is not now. They suck and won't make the playoffs. If it weren't for Cliff Lee and his twenty wins they would only have forty wins not sixty.Keep dreaming tribe fans, but once again no World Series for ya!

  5. I'm an Indians fan, but NO, it's not going to happen.

In 2005, when the ChiSox won the World Series, they were currently 82-51 on Sept. 2. The Indians were in second place with a record of 75-59. Where the Sox are now, basically.

    It's not going to happen.

  6. The Indians are getting better, I would NOT count them out. And yes... I do see a comeback!

  7. Bad thing is...when one team goes bad the other does great as for the Twins and White Sox....I mean Cliff Lee is on fire and im happy my Twinkies have figured out the answer against him (Handing him one of his losses...Thats something to be happy about against a monster of a pitcher ^.^)....But I mean the White Sox can lose 3 in a row and at the same time the Twins would win 3 in a row...and vice versa....The Red Sox are too good in that Wild Card spot....I just don't see it happening...though be happy Cliff Lee gets Cy Young

  8. i dont c them out of it but they pretty much are

  9. 10.5 games back and only 26 left to play.  It just seems too much in too short a time period.  The Twins AND White Sox would have to play sub .500 ball and the Tribe would have to win every game.  They've had a great run and the team has nothing to hang their heads about, but this season is a wash.

  10. Hey, go for it, Indians!

Tell your boy Sizemore to step it up, I'm counting on him in my Fantasy League.

  11. Sorry but i don't see them coming back...Maybe next year.

  12. I would LOVE to see a comeback. But,  hey, the Tribe lost 3 in a row to Seattle.  They have to win consistently.

However, Cliff Lee was fabulous last night! Way to go!

  13. ..too many games to make up in too little time, maybe next year!!

  14. well they could but it would be very tough to come back from a big deficite like that.  just like the cardinals it is pretty far.  once again some big teams need o lose (which probably wont happen it would be a miracle).  and no i don't see a comeback yet. if they win there next five games in a row than i would give hope to the team.

  15. I love the Indians! And I would never DARE count them out!! With us playing the White Sox, (and luckily, they're struggling!) we'll keep on getting closer and closer to the wild card, and the division leader!

And I definitely see a comeback!!

  16. All you have to do is look at the math.  Let's say that both the White Sox and Twins go 12-13 in their remaining 25 games and finish the season at 89-73.  For the Indians to win they would have to go 24-1 to finish the season at 90-72.  They would have to win the division to go to the playoffs because they will not finish with a better record than the Red Sox or the Rays and one of those teams will win the AL east and the other will go to the playoffs as a wild card.  If either the White Sox or the Twins finish 14-11, or better, the Indians would be eliminated even if they won all 25 of their remaining games.  Would you care to reconsider the chances of the Indians going to the playoffs?

  17. As much as I would love to see a come back the Indians do not have the firepower to make it into the playoffs.  I would be more hopeful if Hafner and Martinez were back on the team and knocking in runs.

  18. Sorry but no, I don't see it.  But then again I didn't see the Rays being this good.

It would take a serious collapse by 2 of the 4 teams currently in 1st or 2nd in the east & central.
