I just got contact lenses today. I don't have a problem at all getting them in, but I tried to take them out and it took nearly 20 minutes. Anyone else have that problem when they first got contacts? Any tips on how to make it easier?

  1. Put in some eye drops first. Then take them out.

  2. Same with me when I just got contacts. You can get a plunger for removing your contacts at many drug stores. They were designed for hard contacts but also work on soft contacts. That's all I got :]

  3. Wet your fingers a little with some solution.  The contact wants to stick to something wet.  Slide the contact to the side of your eye and pinch gently.  Some people find it easier to slide the contact down to the bottom of the eye.  Try both ways and see what works for you.  (Just don't try to pinch it right off the front of your eye).  If you have long nails, cut them short while you are still learning.  And just keep practicing; you'll get it.
