Im a 22 year old female that is in a 5 year relationship so far. I love him but he hit me when he was drunk for the first time last week. he apologized of course. We discussed it after i flipped out and tried to kill him. For everyone who has not been in a relationship like that could not understand. i just want to know from men or women if you or someone you know ever hit your partner once and never did it again?

Watch ur langauge when talking to each other and also make sure he control the amount of alcohol he consumes before he goes out of control and i think if u can maintain these balance he should not hit u under normal circumstances.

It depends on the partner.  Some partners may never hit again but some will.  I must say that most cases i know they usually do it again so be careful.  However I do not think it is ok for you to hit him as that would be double standards.  Forgive him this time and move on but if he does it again **** him off!

if you're okay with your boyfriend hitting you, then that's your own problem. all i have to say is you must not think very highly of yourself for letting him do that.
