Don't know where to start...please help?

Question

I've just graduated high school 2 months ago and now i'm ready to make some big life changes. I want to move to New York City to go to a school there to be a makeup artist. The thing is I have NO plan whatsoever. I don't have a job but I plan to get one this week. I have no money saved but I do have a credit card. My question though really is how do I get started? I know absolutely NO One in Manhattan so i'm going at this alone. How do I secure an apartment there beforehand? What job should I start with? What neighborhoods should i look at? Thanks alot.

dont use credit for major expenses. work for 6 months-year and try to save a lot of it. then secure a new job in nyc. then find an apartment. then go to school.
