  1. If you're only gonna live once join the Marine Corps.

  2. Both are great infantry branches. Talk to both an Army recrutier and a Marine corps recruiter. Take a practice ASVAB to see what jobs you qualify for. Then, take a physical and the actual ASVAB. See where your interests lie. Both will benefit you. Be upfront with your parents. The only way they can help you is if you are upfront and honest! Good luck! :)

  3. I would join the marine corps.  they are the best.  the few. the proud.  oo rah!!!  You'll be glad you did.  Its hard work but Marines are the only ones who are fully trained for combat.  They have the longest boot camp training but they know more than any other branch.  good luck!!!

  4. It really depends on what you want ot do - the Army offers higher enlistment bonuses and has more college money available as well as shorter initial enlsitment terms.  The Army is larger than the Marine Corps and offers (in general) faster promotions.  The Marine Corps is a top notch organization and offers some of the highest esprit des corps of any service branch.

  5. Decide for yourself. Of course Marines are gonna say Marines and Soldiers are gonna say Army. Which ever branch you decide to join, you'll have a lot of pride for it. I'm proud that I joined the Army and if I wanted to be a Marine I would've joined the Marines.

  6. i would say army they have more jobs the air force is good easier life but it comes down to what you want to do

talk 2 both recruiters get a feel for what they have 2 offer and what u want

  7. For me personally, the Army was the only way to go because I wanted the most extreme challenge the military had to offer. Airborne, Ranger and Special Forces were all I was ever interested in because they work in small groups and require individual efforts in a team environment. It just depends on what exactly you want from the military.

I have to tell you though, I don't think I could have been happy in the Marines. I cringe when I hear Marine fans talk about how they are the first to battle and the last to leave, knowing that simply is not the truth. Going back more than 30 years every single military operation has been scouted and spearheaded by Seals, SF, Rangers and Airborne. So this is dishonorable representation.

  8. Congratulations on your HS graduation..

Both branches are great. The Army has more money to offer you as a bonus and you will have a greater job selection and you can lock in your specific job. In the USMC you can not lock in a certain job, only a field can be chosen.

You need to research each branch as they are different in many ways. Just read about each one and choose whatever interst you.Like I said, either choice you will not go wrong.

You can read here about what it means and takes to be a Marine.

  9. When there is a battle: the navy shells it, the air force bombs it, the army takes it and the marines claim it. Thank goodness there are only a few needed as they claim.

  10. the few, the proud, the marines. Be one of those few and you will walk with the greats someday.

  11. The army can be fun if you make it fun. My dad was a marine and he was in for 10 years. He was the one who told me not to join the corp.

  12. Talk to your local recruiters first. The Marines are a better organized branch but you have to be tough and dedicated to become a Marine. Whether you go to San Diego or Parris Island, those 3 months of Basic Training will be the toughest of your life. Army Basic Training is basically very easy. If you really want to be someone. Join the Marines. You're the best of the best and get a lot more respect. If you succeed in becoming a United States Marine, you will have accomplished what some only dream of doing. I say Marines. Go to Marines.com, watch the commercial at the bottom of the main page called "Leap." Check it out. It's a great video. I appreciate your choice in joining the military. You want to do something great in your life, join the Marines. Anyone and I mean anyone can join the Army. Make a difference and Good Luck Cody.

  13. just remember the marines are the first line of attack....

meaning you'd be shot at first before the army guys

  14. Go into the Airforce.. Its the best branch & the easiest. Better financially too.
