B Hussein Osama wants to raise the tax to raise the price and have people stop driving SUVs (like how he just sold his). It is a scam to get their end result....once again s******g the middle class for their gain.....what a shame

Anyone who thinks that liberals want higher gas prices uses convoluted logic at best, and outright lies at worst.  The problem, however,  is that most people if gas is cheap, will not consider alternatives and crude oil is a finite resource and will eventually run out.  It is important that alternative fuels are developed.  Bio-fuels, clean-coal technology, and renewable energy sources are the future and the time is now to move.

And if the middle class is getting the short end of the stick from anyone, it has to be the oil companies who have posted record profit after record profit.  The NEOCONS under the Bush/Cheney regime have assaulted the middle class time and again, but their right-wing mouthpieces (Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage, Coulter, et al) have spewed misinformation and outright lies in carrying water for the criminal duo and duped many in the American public through fear, intimidation, and feel-good lies.

Anyone who has the intelligence to analyze what has happened and what has been said by the democrats is aware of their desire to raise the cost of fuel in this country by any means, including increased taxation. It should in theory force us into a situation where we have to come up with viable alternatives but at what cost to our economy and way of life? Their current blatherings about helping the average American by lowering fuel costs are political BS meant to deceive voters into supporting their ineffective and dishonest candidates. They don't care about you. They have their own agenda.

Hey, I know it is hard for you to understand the concept of research but I just want you to know that one day you will understand this concept and it will make the rest of the world very proud....Go look up speculation....and one more thing,...notice how the price of gas has gone up like 50 cents this week alone....do you wonder why this has happened? Go look up what this Monday is called....and maybe take a look at the weather channel while you're at it and that may explain some of why these gas prices are so high.
