Don't take it the wrong way....?!?!?

I was chatting with a guy on myspace [local band, super cute blah blah blah] and he commented my photo saying, "ur cute :D" and I said, "i guess i don't know how to respond buuttt, thanks for thinking i'm cute! : ]" and he saiiidd, "lol. don't take it the wrong way, i'm just being who i am, an honest guy..."

Confused by what he means about 'don't take it the wrong way'.

I don't know how you can take that compliment the wrong way.

he means, don't take it in the way that would make you think that he wants something from you.

He doesn't want you to think he is interested in you. That doesn't mean he is NOT interested in you, just that he doesn't want you to think he is coming on too strong. Of course, it could be his way of saying that he actually isn't interested. You'll have to chat with him further and figure it out.
