Don't the Salvation Army help with paying light bills?

I live in a 3bdrm apt.; our light bill has increased tremendously in the past few months. I had help a few years back paying my light bill and thought it was the salvation army, but I'm not able to find any sites relatiing to the this.

  1. yes they do in MIssouri and KS.. which is where i live.. There are also other agencies like United services.. I would say maybe try contacting your SOCIAL Services office..like where you could apply for medicaid or foodstamps..they may have a list..

    To answer your question:  No, they do not help people pay their bills.  The Salvation Army is an organization that helps men who have been in jail, on drugs, homeless whatever get back on their feet.   It is a program... like a12 step program... or it is suppose to be.    I have heard that people donate houses,  yachts, Corvettes,  property... to the Salvation Army... and that the officials keep these things to entertain their rich friends.   I do think it is true.
