Don't the losses of Blake, Djokovic, Davydenko, and Sharapova prove that tennis matches are being fixed?

Ok, maybe the Blake match isn't a fluke....but the other losses certainly are. Not to mention that they all involve Russian-Eastern European players......

  1. davydenko sucks on grass, safin played really well and sharapova was outclassed just becuase of an upset doesnt mean its fixed. Why would you take a 50k bribe when if your sharapova and u have a good chance of winning the tournament and 1 million dollars. It doesnt make sense

  2. No. I don't think so. Marat Safin played incredibly well, and that's how he beat Federer and won the Australian Open in 2005. Sharapova has to cut down on the unforced errors, and Blake just needs to be more consistent. =D

  3. That really bad mate, questioning the honesty and integrity of 8 players. You don't really think any of those guys would match fix do you? Read their interviews, Blake supports a life time ban on match fixing, Maria hasnt been playing well at all, Davydenko sucks of grass, and Djokovic - well hes the least I can imagine match fixing. Thats really rude to suggest all those players are dishonest. The loses might be a fluke, but it doesnt mean they are being fixed.

  4. The losses of good tennis players simply prove that tennis is a game where you can be great one day and not-so-great the next.  Federer has lost matches before.  Pete Sampras and Arthur Ashe and Bjorn Borg lost matches too.  If you're not 100% focused or rested or in shape or on your game, then there's a good chance that you'll lose in tennis.  It keeps the game interesting.  So far as the involvement of Russian-Eastern European players in those losses, it just is the outcome of their push for tennis athletes over there.

  5. You really think Djokovic would agree to that on Wimbledon in 2nd round? And you think he would risk his carrier for what? Or anyone of them? So what if they are BORN in Eastern Europa, they don't live there, and you are talking about top tennis players, you really think any one of them would give up maybe Wimbledon title for what? If you can explain why would they do that I could agree. They were one of the favorites ( I am talking about Djokovic and Maria) , guys who fix matches are ones that have no chance for a title, so if anything is fix ( which I 100% sure it's not, that would be Blake's match, since he had no chance to get to  even 4th round imo). And not to speak about what an insult this is for Safin who is great player, and for whole Eastern Europa.

  6. Glad you were not around when JFK was shot.

  7. Nope. A lot of times knowing that you're that good going into a match makes you a little cocky (not in a bad way, more of just being over confident in a "yeah, i can beat them easily" mindset, so you don't start off that well), even if you're trying not too (I mean, come on, if you're that good, even if you aren't trying to, it's very hard to go into a match with the right mindset). Also, the pros are all very close in level.

  8. davydenko yes! the others no. They were either inconsistent, had incredible opponents or were having a really bad day!

  9. Ha! ya right!

  10. No...but it may prove that the fields are very deep, the players are very tired, or the players just can't play on grass.

  11. no no no
