Hi,

I need to call sb. that lives in Europe, but does not pick my calls because she owes me some money. She has caller id. Even if I call from a public phone with a pre-paid card, I was told, that she can see my area code in hte US (212)...thus she does not pick up.

I wonder if there is a way I can hide my number (or my area code 212) from her caller id, when I call. Sb. todl me to dial *67...would it work? Shall I dial it before dialing her country's code? What would be the dialing sequence with a pre-paid card?

thanks so much!!!

  1. try grandcentral.com owned now by google. You can pick free phone numbers from any state in the US and make free calls.

Another way is to tell your mobile phone provider to make your phone private and hide your id. I don't know if the area code will be hidden as well.

There are some other software out there that allows you to make free call across the US. Try that at home and see what the caller id looks liek
