Day two of our August heat wave is upon us, and after hitting 90 on Thursday and breaking the record, the Puget Sound area is on tap to be even a few degrees hotter today as highs were poised to top out in the low-mid 90s across the Puget Sound area.
The heat will carry over into tonight, which will be mostly clear but very warm and stuffy, with lows only dropping to near 70. We have 68 for Seattle, which would be the second warmest night ever recorded. (Record is 69 set on Sept. 2, 1974.)
That is from a Seattle TV station, their talking about a "Heat wave" because it hit 90 degrees. And their warmest night ever on record was 69 degrees
