Don't we deserve a government that works?

Let's hear some actual fixes for our problems. None of this Republican Democrat stuff. No he said, she said. Or they did this or that. Let's just hear some actual ideas to help repair this great country of ours.

Ideas on the economy, energy, healthcare, or the war on terrorism will be great.

I don't want answers to vote for Obama or McCain. One person can't fix this country. And if you do believe they can, then you're very nieve.

  1. I agree, today polititians play the blame game, while making sure that their large donors are happy so they can have money to be re-elected.

Fixing the problems with this country is probable not as complex as it is made out to be.

Education- Quit telling kids they are disadvantaged, tell them

it takes hard work and sacrafice

Healthcare- Treating people should not be about maximum

                         profits.

Businesses- Need to be profitable, that doesn't mean record

                           profits every quarter.

401k- A way for companies to get out of offering retirement

               plans.

Term Limits- Too many career polititans

    Lobbyist- Legal bribery.

The problem is polititians listen to who gives them the most money.

  2. naive.

go to libertarian website and u will find most of your answers.

  3. The fact is that there is more money in creating the problems that fixing them.

The reason the national debt has never been dealt with is because too many people make money off of keeping it. The World Bank has hundreds of employees who are really employed simply off of the interest payment by America.

The lobbyists give millions to the candidates and politicians to keep problems around so that their clients can keep making money off of the old system.

The military and its contractors make millions each year off of high-priced, ill-fated projects that cost the taxpayers and drive up the deficit.

The truth is that power corrupts and unless Superman and Santa Claus become politicians, anyone who gets a taste is not going to want to give it up.

  4. I am actually happier when government doesn't work, that way it is less likely to mess things up

  5. And what do you suggest?

I think the founders had it right on the money.

A return to Constitutional principles would get us back on track.

First we'd need to stand down the national emergencies that have allowed them to suspend the Constitution since Lincoln.

Then we need to bring up all congressmen, senators, presidents (past and present) who have voted for unconstitutional legislation, and all court justices who also swore an oath to uphold and defend the constitution and carry out the punishment the Constitution prescribes.

Then we need to return to a gold standard, prosecute the Central Bankers for fraud, theft and murder (they're the ones who intentionally manipulate world events to keep us involved in wars and endless borrowing).

Am I the only one who feels this way?
