  1. You mean a traffic jam? Yes, rubbernecking, too many cars merging, too many cars trying to take an exit to another freeway, etc.

I lived in the LA area for 11 years, and if the wind blew, there was a traffic jam.

  2. Yeah. Sometimes i wonder who is in the front of the traffic...

  3. somethin stupid im sure.

or probably some old person that cant drive.

  4. An accident occurs and everyone wants to go see what happened.

  5. usually a accident, and every noisy person on the highway has to look

  6. Usually it's a car(or group of cars) going slower than the flow of traffic so that causes everyone to slow down. The other common cause is rubber necking.

  7. too many people going to the same place and not enough lanes to take them

    rubbernecking

people unnessecarly braking (which causes the entire line of cars behind them to brake as well)

people going slow in the fast lane

    people talking on the phone

but really its too many cars and not enough road

  8. usually its people slowing down to see what going on that creates the worse part of it,that slows traffic down a lot,if most people would go on traffic wouldn't slow down near as bad, good luck.

  9. Traffic has encountered a bottleneck which reduced the capacity or traffic handling capability of the roadway, or disturbed the flow.  It could be a reduction in number of lanes, an incident, maybe someone sneezed, or there's just too many vehicles entering the road.

  10. Much of the time it is RUBBER NECKING (people gawking at accidents).

Even after the accident is long gone, the spot where the accident happen still have residual traffic STALL for hours.

    Good Luck...
