I don't know about the people that can't read, but I like to look at pics too. Your hound looks like a hunting dog lost. You probably saved her life. Good job. Are you trying to find her owners or just plan on keeping her. The reason I ask is I have lost dogs that I am trying to find owners for. I don't understand how people lose their pets and don't make it easier for someone to find or contact them.

Wow, she was so skinny.  Hopefully can regain her health now that you've taken her under your wing.  She's very pretty, with a cute smile!

add:  I had to go back & look at the pictures again--You have made enormous progress in a week's time!  Her ribs are not even visible now.  It was certainly her lucky day when she turned up in your yard!

That's wonderful! How lucky for her that she found her way into your yard. The poor baby was so skinny, but MUCH better than she was. It's amazing how fast they put the weight on when being feed properly, and she looks like such a happy dog despite what she may have been through. Are you planning to keep her or put her up for adoption if you cannot contact the owners? People are crazy. If my dog was missing I would drop absolutely anything I was doing to go get her. She's probably better off in a more loving home.

I'd love to see more pics of her progress. :)

don't over feed either, can kill em that way too.

talk to a vet tech (any vet office should be free) they can give you an idea

of amount to feed and final weight (if u don't know)

I hope you're feeding it more than what's in that small bowl, lol. This dog is a good 20 lb. underweight. I believe that it was almost dead. Poor girl. Feed her lots & give her lots of good socialization. Congrats on finding such a sweet looking dog! I wish her a long, healthy life.

Add: I put "lol" because I was joking. I know you wouldn't feed an animal that little. Geez. I've seen lots of your answers & know you're an animal lover. I wasn't being mean, just making a joke & lightening the mood. It's great that you were able to rescue her. :)

omg people she said she found it all skinny like that, cant you all see the difference? it takes time for a dog to gain weight! isis, good for you taking in that poor baby! you are doing a good job, but if you want her to gain weight a little faster try some satin balls. google it and try it. works wonders for extremly thin dogs. goodluck!

There are Trol-s amongst us. I am tired of this TD also, I get them sometimes and you wonder is it ay you or someone who is picking questions at random and TD'ing. Its frustrating especially a person gets the wrong answer on an important question. It could harm a pet!  One more reason why I love animals.
