Don't you hate it when people use g*y as an insult?

Question

In school, I'm always hearing g*y or homo used as insults. You don't even have to be g*y to think it's really stupid. >.<

Why are kids like that? And my friends were talking about the Britney Spears/Madonna/Xtina kiss at the VMA's in 2004 (?) and they kept calling it nasty (since Britney and them were girls). It really bugged me. Are kids thought to think being g*y is gross and bad?

I&#039;m in 11th grade. I never hear it in my IB classes (very academic). When I am in my regulat classes, i hear it all the time &quot;That assignment is so g*y&quot; &quot;That kid is such a f*g&quot;, etc. I hate it, but don&#039;t take it personally!

Im in 9th grade and its the same thing. Just let it pass they dont literally think its g*y, its just another meaning for the word.

Its still wrong, I agree, but dont let it get to you.

i do , i try to not pay attention but i just cant stand it, i jsut want to go and tell them whats so wrong being g*y?.. and yea some kids are acctually being told its a bad , sinfull thing,.. but kids in 8th grade think everything is nasty though,..lol yea last year i was very annoyed of the imaturess, and even still in highschool they act imature ,.... &gt;.&lt;

My 32-year-old friend Lizzie will say things such as, &quot;That&#039;s so g*y.&quot;  Since Lizzie has a Master&#039;s degree and is a CPA, I would think her vocabulary would be a little larger than this.  I don&#039;t take offense personally; I just think that at her age she should  start speaking like the educated adult that she is.
