I went to a water park and I couldn't believe how many young girls had tattoos.

I was also watching an episode of iCarly where the loser of a bet had to have the other person's face tattooed on their body.

  1. you need to be 18yrs old to get a tatt. or you can just bring someone that is over 20yrs old.

  2. Yes, in most tattoo shops you have to be 16 with parental consent and your parents have to be there

  3. Yes you most definitely do, they make you sign a disclaimer and most likely will ID you.  If you are under 18 a parent needs to sign the document for you.

  4. yes, you have to have a parent come with you to sign for consent.

unless your over 18, which many many many young girls wait for, their 18th birthday to go on their own!

  5. depends on where u go.....

  6. In Oklahoma no respecting tattoo artist would ever think about giving someone under age a tattoo.. Its the law as well here... no parents can be there it doesn't matter its not like a piercing so idk it depends on where your at...

  7. yes

  8. yepp. u do.i think they have 2 come with u even....

  9. Yea, your guardian has to be with you.

The girls you saw either had their parents' approval, had henna tattoos, had just plain temporary tattoos, or they did it illegally. Or they only looked like minors, but actually were 18+

  10. yes you should have to

  11. Depends on where you live and the tattoo parlor..

I was 16 when I got my frist tattoo.. the guy didn't even ask for I.D. My parents were not with me.

Then when I was 17 my parents went with me to a different place to get a tattoo and they said they couldn't do it because I wasn't 18.

  12. Yup ya do.

But I got mine at 16.

The place i went to asks but they didn't ask me.

  13. uhh i didn't and i was 15 then but i wouldnt recommend that because there is more safety knowing you are with a parent.

  14. depends on the place

    age

    and country/state/province.

    in most cases yes though.

  15. your parents have to sign a stat dec and get a justice of the peace to sign as well...

they have to be at least 16 yrs old... quite a few places refuse to tattoo young people, even with parental consent.

some places will not need parental permission, but they will be dodge and possibly give them diseases..

i got my first ink at 16 and 6 more b4 i was 18, probs cause my mum is an inker

    xo

  16. yes you are supposed to have your parent sign a consent form for a tattoo and piercing.

unless you get a back alley basement tattoo from a family friend who knows how to "tattoo"

it seems to be the "in" thing to do these days.

these are also the kids that in a few yrs will be hitting laser removal places, getting new tattoos to cover up the ones they get now that they grow tired of in a few months or years
