Don't you just hate TPWS?

Especially when it sticks the brake on at an overspeed sensor (speed not published by NR), when you've got loads of braking distance to go?

  1. I understand why its there. The loops at my local station are so sensitve that trains have to approach the platform at less then walking pace, usually having to throttle up the engine to reach the end of the platform


  2. Too True & then because of the activation it has to be investigated & there is no fault found, but the drive ends up with a black mark against his/her name because of the activation!

  3. Better to have too much brake than not enough...

  4. The real thing that gets up My goat is when you split the train and your over the sensor, so much noise!!!!!
