Don't you just hate the Goodlife Recipe dog food commercials?

Don't you just hate the false advertisement? I hate it. I hate there logo, too. "It's what they think about. So it's all we think about." Our puts must be pretty dumb if all they think about is by-products, fillers, corn, etc. I doubt any dog would be as happy as they are on that commercial if they were really eating the Goodlife Recipe. It should be called the Badlife Stew. It is. What are your comments on this mentally retarded dog food commercial? Any other pet food commercial that you hate?

  1. A lot of them. Your average Joe who sees a commercial, and doesn't know to look at the actual ingredients, very may well be feeding his dog a manufactured 'sawdust' of a food.

  2. yeah that really bugs me to. and people never look at the ingredients to see what they are really feeding their dog. Another one I really hate is Iams. People think it is so good because it's a well known brand. Wrong! look at the ingredients it's so bad. I watched this one show that said they shread up old boots and put it in the food.

  3. Haha, yes. "The Badlife Stew", good one LOL. I hate all dog and cat food commercials, I hate the Beneful commercials the most though. "You think you're getting spoiled, but it's so good for you too!" Spoiled, as in literally spoiling, tainting the dogs insides, then yes - but certainly not spoiled with a healthy diet. I feel bad for dogs who are fed that kind of food, when their owners are more than able to buy them a good brand, but unknowingly or ignorantly buy these kinds of food thinking it's actually healthy.

  4. OMG I know exactly what you are talking about. Did you know that the first ingredient is actually corn??  I checked it out in a store once, just to see, and I was shocked.  Can they really sell that stuff to people? I mean, good grief, all those poor dogs!

  5. What irritates me is that they're perpetuating people's ignorance. Dogs do NOT have the same dietary needs as humans. They don't have the same kind of digestive tract. They don't eat steak, potatoes, broccoli, or most of the things we eat. They need mostly meat products with some vegetables.

Another thing: if you buy the food in a supermarket, it is legally required to have a shelf life of about 7 years (I think). Which means preservatives galore. I buy pet food from a pet store, where the food is more expensive but healthier. My pets have more energy, better stools, and they don't itch so much!! Those fillers can cause skin allergies!

Iams and Science Diet used to be good brands, but not anymore. Not less you get a special kind from the vet. They're getting by using their good name. It's really sad.

  6. I think it's bad for the public to see something like that. Most people are really stupid and will go out and buy it right away without actually researching dog food at all. I wish foods like Natural Balance and Taste of the Wild had commercials too.
