Before he picked her I didn't even know who she was. I wanted him to pick Romney. But now that I know more about her I love her!

She is a staunch, young conservative who will also bring over some of Hillary's supporters.

Plus, she's a great speaker, a lot like Obama.

This is the winning ticket!

What do you think?

  1. Yes it is, and we are going to the White House.

  2. He squarely put Obama's lack of experience in the spotlight  without having to say a word.

Democratic complaints that she is not experienced enough to take over bring out the glaring truth that McCain's VP choice has more experience than the democratic presidential candidate.

  3. Let's see.  The DNC treated Hillary's campaign with complete disrespect.  Obama passes over Janet Napolitano and Kathleen Sebelius as VP picks, two governors with excellent track records.  And now the GOP nominates a woman.   I guess we know we who takes women for granted and who takes them seriously.

The Hillarycrats are so full of themselves they think they are the target of this choice.  Comes of having a totally self-centered short term mindset.

This was a brilliant choice.  The social and fiscal conservatives are fired up.  Blue collar workers who supported Hillary now see one of their own on the ticket.  And soccer moms who are not nearly as liberal as the DNC thinks now have to consider their loyalties.

The difference between Palin and Obama is that sense and reason comes out of her mouth.

McCain is thinking three steps ahead on this game.  Even if his ticket loses, he has just put Sarah Palin on the national stage.  The Republicans will elect a women president before the Democrats do.

Go Sarah, you have my vote.

  4. Nope: Voting for McCain because of his VP choice would be a step back rather than a step forward for women in the United States.

  5. This pick was brilliant. Look at the chronology of events:Thursday, Obama gives a speech that was a politician's dream with 38 million people watching. Headlines blazed across the globe about this extravaganza. Friday, McCain names Palin as his VP. Saturday, there is not a paper, forum or blog that is not featuring this coup. It's like "what speech"?

McCain pulled the best strategic political move I've ever seen.

He has my vote and I was a former Hillary supporter.

  6. Yes, at first I was saying "who?"

Then I went in search of information on her, watched a few clips on Youtube and what emerged was nothing short of brilliant on McCains behalf.  I have to chuckle when I think of all the comments from the left about him being old and senile.  I think this choice just blew that theory out of the water.  I can't think of anything more brilliant that to have chosen this wonderful woman as his running mate.

  7. just like they said about Obama, that he is too young, same thing applies here, and I think they did this becasuse of her looks

    OBAMA 08

  8. Senator McCain made a very wise decision.  Of course, I've never expected anything less from him.

  9. Yes, sarah is the icing on the cake that John McCain baked..

    yumbo..

  10. This is the worst thing McCain could have ever done. McCain is going to lose the conservative base who was already on the fence. I would never vote for Obama in a million years, but I can't in good conscious vote for a ticket with a vp as inexperienced if not more inexperienced than Obama, god forbid if something were to happen to McCain and she was to become President. I am a staunch republican, a political science major, have never missed voting in an election and basically am a straight party line voter, and I am so pissed at McCain I am considering voting 3rd party (Libertarian) throwing my vote away, or not voting at all. I never thought in a million years I would say this, because I am scared to death of what Obama could do to this country, but I am uttely livid at McCain's choice. I'm just hoping to wake up from this bad dream and wake up to a RNC where Romney is named the nominee.

Palin's only upside is her reputation for having strong conservative values, being pro-life, pro-2nd amendment, and fighting government corruption, I just question how prepared she is for a position of this kind of power, and how prepared the American people are for a woman in office, ala Hillary didn't win the nomination did she? And she's essentially Obama but white and a woman.

  11. SHE HAS BEEN IN CHARGE OF THE NATIONAL GUARD

= MORE MILITARY EXPERIENCE THAN OBAMA

SHE WON BEING GOVERNOR OVER A MAN WITH THREE TERMS OF EXPERIENCE......

    ABSOLUTLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

I TOO WANTED ROMNEY BUT IM FEELING GIDDY ABOUT THIS CHOICE!!!!!!

    MCCAIN/PALIN 08

  12. Don't know much about her. But if McCain had picked Condoleezza Rice democrats would complain that he picked a "washington insider" so either way, they would criticize his choice

  13. no, i think his choice was a mistake. She has no experience in washington and shouldnt be vice president.

  14. No one's talking about the democratic convention anymore..thats for sure.

  15. I think Republicans and Democrats alike are pleased with this choice. Because Republicans think that she will help McCain win and Democrats think she will help him lose.

  16. I think it's ingenious in the way that it stole the spotlight back from the Democrats. McCain had to make a surprise pick like this, to try to bring some passion and inspiration back to his campaign.

  17. I'm giddy!!!!

She will be sliced and diced like a Waffle House omelet when debate time comes around.

  18. Once again the Obama campaign has made fun of small town America by saying Palin is from a small town. Big mistake. Vote McCain/Palin.

  19. The more I see the Dems attack her the more I know they are scared of her.  I had doubts McCain could win up until now, but this energizes his base and insures a 50-state landslide win.

  20. The only thing that Palin has in common with Hillary is genitalia. They are polar opposites on political, and women's issues. Only Republican women who were swayed by Clinton will vote for her, no chance on any Dem females supporting this ticket.

Thanks Grampy McSame for making such a dumb choice.

  21. Yeah, she is a nice looking young lady, but then so was hitler's wife.

Since Condaleezza Rice refused the vice-presidency when mccain begged her to take the job, I guess ms. palin is the next female in line.

    Talk about reverse discrimination!

    .

  22. She seems like a down-to-earth person.  I hope I'm not wrong about that.

I like her so far.  I like the fact that she's younger, and that she's a big family woman.

  23. What is great about all the candidates is that they represent many different types of Americans.  The world should be inspired by the diversity of this American experience in government.

  24. McCain has a penchant for beauty queens, obviously. His first wife, Carol, who he abandoned after an auto accident left her disabled and in a wheelchair, was a beauty queen. His present wife, the millionaire owner of a beer distribution company, is a former beauty queen. Now this Lady from Alaska chosen to be his Vice Presidential running mate, is a former ----wait for it---Beauty Queen!!

And thus is the fate of the world and all humanity decided. Oh Boy.

I believe Mcain is naive to pick an inexperienced woman as his running mate.It looks as a desperate measure .He has lost his major claim against Obama as a result(experience).Since he's the oldest to get a nomination first time,if he's president there's a likelihood of Paulin becoming the commander in chief,as there were nine incidents in US history of VP taking the top job.It looks as all Mcain cares about is his personal interests not the country's
