  1. no

  2. Yes.  Instead he didn't even talk to her about the choice.  What a slap in the face to Clinton supporters.  Just remember, Obama cares about one person, himself.

    McCain / Palin 08

  3. It doesn't matter who is the dem Prez/VP.  History has always changed the ruling party after an 8 year stint by one party.

  4. No. Hilary would have been an albatross around Obama's neck.  She is carrying around a lot of baggage from her husband.

Gov. Palin is not necessarily a strong female.  She is ultra conservative in her views.  She doesn't believe that we should teach our children about s*x.  Not to encourage them to have it but to give them information so they can make an informed decision when they feel they are ready to have s*x.  In the midst of the rise of AIDS, she doesn't believe that condoms should be passed out for any reason.  I wonder does she also believe, in her ultra conservative state, that women should stay with their husband's even if he is beating the tar out of them on a daily basis and molesting  and beating their children.

Being a strong woman means acknowledging your pain and disappointment over your single daughter being pregnant at 17;especially in the midst of your view on abstinence only.  Strong doesn't mean sucking it up and pretending nothing is wrong.  That is foolishness.  But then again, coming from Alaska, that might be the image of Strong she needs to project.

  5. It is already in the bag for him. He has nothing to worry about from now on out.

  6. No.  I believe, based on Obama's racism and radical beliefs which have been confirmed by his 20 plus years association with the Reverend(God Da.. America) Wright, his chances of being elected are slim to none.

  7. yes. obama/hillary would have won.

now, john mccain, i believe picked palin for two reasons, besides that she is very intelligent.

    1. She is a woman. All the people who liked Hillary JUST for being a woman, no other reason, my switch their vote over to mccain/palin.

2.It shows he's not just some "white man". It shows he's for equality and has some softness in his heart.

Me, myself, and i LOVED HILLARY CLINTON. But now, i like obama, considering the circumstances.

    leave your opinions.....

  8. Not since Bill was part of the package. lol

  9. He would have lost all credibility since they disagreed so much during the campaign for his nomination.

So that's why he didn't choose her.

Plus Hillary is polarising and might have galvanised the conservative base into going out and voting for McCain, just to spite her.

Palin is not a strong person because she abused her power as governor.

A strong woman doesn't need to get people fired.

    That's called cowardly.

  10. Maybe he DID pick Hillary, but she said NO!

  11. you clearly are stupid...you supported hillary just for her and instead supporting her for the issues she stands by...Who the *** is Sarah Palin? and she hasn't done anything that great for alaska (remember its a small state) thats why she has an 80% approval rating...think about your decision... watch the debates

  12. Obama still could've lost, even with Hillary Rodham as his running mate. This is because they would be seen as too opposite of each other and voters would have to consider that before anything else.

  13. No. And I hope your vote is not for something so unrelated to this nation's wellbeing.

  14. Nope.  It would have done nothing for him.  Most of Hillary Clinton's backers are voting Obama anyway, the only ones that aren't won't be convinced to vote for Obama no matter who he takes as VP because they are bigoted fools.  Obama would actually LOSE votes because the indeps and republicans backing up Obama (the few left after rev. wright) would bolt at the sight of Hillary Clinton.  A lot of people would also become disillusioned with their candidate who is supposed to stand for change when he's picking one of the most corrupt senators in Washington for his running mate.  Finally, a good chunk of black voters who were highly offended at Hillary Clinton's bigoted smear campaign would be resentful that he would give her the #2 spot as a reward for her underhanded dealing and just stay home.

A Hillary pick would not have saved Obama, it would have killed his chances completely.

  15. No. Hilary is a more polarizing figure than Biden. Would some currently undecided voters likely be in his camp now?  Sure.  But he would also not have some of the support that he currently does.

It doesn't matter.  I am absolutely sure that they have worked out something.  She will likely have a position in his cabinet.  Secretary of State, possibly.

  16. Totally in the bag, I would have thought it was a no brainer.  Bthey truly must not be able to stand one another.  Maybe Michelle has some issues.  And I am sure that Hillary did not appreciate the Wright & Phelps comments.

  17. No

The pugs were salivating at the change of bring up Monica and White water etc.

Now they have to fight fair and hope that Plain is exonerated of any wrong doing in Alaska.

  18. Yes. I do think he would be more likely to win if he had picked Hillary. But I also respect that he didn't. I think it's true that he wanted to pick someone he could work with and respect. Clearly McCain didn't care much about that. He barely spent all of 15 minutes getting to know her. Often the VP is chosen just to improve electability and I think that's all McCain was interested in in his choice. I also think it is completely understandable that Obama did not pick Hillary. Usually the candidate does not choose their biggest rival as their VP. And if you want your daughter to have a strong woman to look up to -- as in HIllary -- don't yoiu also want to consider why and in what way the woman is strong? Hillary and Palin are VERY different and i don't think they are interchangeable at all as role models. And what do you mean by "strong?" Successful? Independent? Motivated? Committed to their ideals? Do yoiu believe in what Palin believes in and want your daughter to emulate that or more of what Hillary stands for/ This is a political race, not a weight lifting competition.

  19. No, Hillary is too polarizing and would never want to be #2.

McCain has just cost himself the election by choosing Palin.

  20. I think that the only VP candidate that matters is who McCain picks because he is the most likely to kick the bucket while in office.

  21. Im am not a republican or a democrat, but its clear as day that the reason  she lost, and the reason she wasnt picked as VP is because she is one of the few people who is looked down on more than Bush. over 75% of the population despises her. She is one of the most hated senators, in a congress that has such low approval ratings that it makes Bush's approval rating look pretty good. I actually cannot think of any other senator that has a lower respect with the general public, even Kerry was generally respected by a decent part of the country.

  22. Democratic party tradition has always been that the two front runners team up.  Hillary Clinton was clearly the 2nd front runner in a very close race.  Secondly Hillary Clinton was graceful and honorable in the way she handled her defeat, and in a fashion of honor and grace, she threw he support behind Obama.  I don't like Hillary clinton, but I admire and respect her grace and honor in such a tough situation.

If Obama had followed party tradition the DNC would have an unbeatable ticket.  Choosing Hillary would have virtually guaranteed his presidency.

  23. Duh yes but seeing the dude is as arrogant as Bush is I guess you know why he didn't.  And besides that Obama was thrown into the race to keep Hillary out because she was the one that could fix the U.S and the Billionaire's boys club couldn't have that!

  24. If he would have picked her, it would have shown that Obama has less of a spine than he already has.

  25. You can tell your daughter look at Gov Palin she doesnt want s*x ed in your school dear to keep you ignorant and if you are lucky you can get pregnant just like her daughter who is underage and you can tell your daughter that if it was another state the boy would be arrested for rape, but tell your daughter that the rich get away with everything. Tell her also that it is fun to kill and gut animals like M Palin, and that if she wants to decorate the den go shoot and innocent animal and brag about it. Then you can tell her to hate g**s and you can say she can lie and brag about accomplishments that Palin didnt actually do and finish it off by telling your daughter that God forbid she gets raped she must keep the baby for nine months go through the h**l and pray that the pregnancy isnt from a family member as Palin would like you to keep it (ignore the threat of malformation) tell her you want her to grow up just like Palin a big hypocrite

  26. No, the reasons why:

The Bill Clinton End Game: As Bill was leaving office he handed out a lot of pardons to his friends, he also has some questionable donors to the Bill Clinton Library.

The Primary fights: Even though I believe Obama may have wanted to pick Hillary certain actions by some key supporters(Mainly Bob Johnson's Petition) would have made him appear weak.

Bill Clinton: While Obama is using Bill Clinton sparingly we have seen him make serious gaffes during the primary(particularly on South Carolina)

These reasons made it hard for him to choose her and it would have made for ammunition against the Ticket, So he choose the male version of HRC in Biden, Smart, experienced, slightly older than himself, and connects with "Heartland" voters.

  27. Yes, but that doesn't mean it would be good. Hillary is a different kind of role model for women, but still a role model.
