Don't you think Sarah Palin's speech showed the conservative right for the embarrassment they are?

The Republicans in the auditorium went nuts for a speech that was snide, condescending, uninformed, and totally immature. Most people outside that auditorium feel completely embarrassed that this is all the Republicans feel they can offer (even though we know they have better candidates than this but just weren't wise enough to choose one of them.). What a shame.

i agree. so many more intelligent people out there why would mccain choose her? maybe an affair going on or something dirty behind the curtain...hmmm makes you think??it is politics and corrupt government or just a plublicity stunt. All the more reason to vote for Obama:)yeah!!!

It was all of that.  As I said in another answer, her speech after the first 15 minutes was "nonny, nonny, nonny, vote for Johnny, we hate Obammy."  But let's see how Sarah Palin answers the questions she will get about real issues, and whether the Republicans will cry that the press is attacking a good and decent Mom.

That little speech has got to be the the biggest fraud in history since another Republican governor stood before the American people and assured them he was a uniter, not a divider, that he was gonna change to tone of Washington into one of civility and respect and most of all that a generation shaped by Vietnam must remember the lessons of Vietnam: When America uses force in the world, the cause must be just, the goal must be clear and the victory must be overwhelming.

We all know how that turned out. Conservatives talk allot about empty rhetoric not being enough yet that's all they have offered the good American people for over a decade to sell their agenda of personal enrichment, inept government and reckless foreign policy. Policies that bankrupted the US and sacrificed more than 4000 young Americans for lies, oil and the profits of Haliburton and other war profiteers

why don't you just admit you didn't expect her to excite the audience the way she did.  You were hoping they would be lukewarm towards her and her speech would be dull and lifeless.

I agree completely. She completely disgusted me with her speech and makes me scared someone like that could be in a position of such power.

And as for the crowd's reaction? As if it's impossible to get a group of crazy republicans and tell them to yell and shout on command?

I think she did a great job with her speech and find that generally it is the Obama minions that are uninformed.  I think Gov. Palin will make a great VP.

I HAVE GRAVE CONCERNS ABOUT SARAH PALIN.  SHE HAS JUST QUASHED THE INVESTIGATION OF HERSELF BY FILING A COMPLAINT AGAINST HERSELF. I think you're completely right. Her speech sounded like a bully on the playground, picking on her opponent with sarcasm and not focusing on the issues. Obviously she felt threatened by all of the media criticism, which goes to show how confident of a leader she will be.  She seriously made me nauseous.  I am terrified that Republicans will dominate the White House once again. And just look at where having eight years of that party got our country today. We're in SUCH great shape don't you agree??
